new addition to the house...

here we go - i've added a chinese lampshade, bought for a cheap $3 at one of the many cheapie stores around here... on the wall is my art project of the past few days.

it's not 100% straight, my handyman skills arent the best, but good enough for now.

since it's been a long weekend and also pretty good weather, all crisp & clear autumn days, i've been exploring a bit more, checking out the huge amount of parks & trails on offer in whangarei. i just can't believe that you can walk 5 minutes & end up in a forest that feels like its miles away from civilization... I've taken a picture from the dizzying 40m summit of mount parahaki. even though i'm sneering at how small the mount is, i must admit i was puffing away while climbing, and i can feel my legs twinging from the exercise as well :)

lastly, just a picture of some graffiti i've seen in town, not really sure why i like it... probably cause i cannot figure out how the 10 cent baby figure & the words i'm sorry go together. maybe it's two different people that did it, or maybe the guy that did the weird baby 10 cent picture wanted to apologise for subjecting the good people of whangarei to his surrealist art.

Funky art there, sis. Apologetic graffiti artists?

*sigh* I thought I saw it all.

Looks like you are finally getting out a little more, and that is never a bed thing. I really enjoy your posts!
